If you have a project using USB that needs a large amount of Flash memory and plenty of I/O pins, the ATxmega384C3 microcontroller is for you! This board breaks out all the pins on this advanced chip and can be plugged straight into a breadboard for all your prototyping needs. It includes features such as AES encryption and a Direct Memory Access Controller built in.
This is also the companion board to my AVR Peripherals post series, so this is the board you need if want to follow along at home and try connecting up hardware yourself.
This product comes as a kit: soldering of the components onto the unpopulated PCB is required. We’ve used the brilliant team at OSHPark for our boards, so we know you’re getting the best quality product possible, plus their purple boards look great! Most of the surface mount components in this kit are of 0402 size, so experience with fine soldering is useful and a fine tip soldering iron is required.
